Haunted Attractions: Not Limited to Houses
Today’s haunted tourism market is not limited to the Halloween season. With the wealth of haunted attractions in the United States (as well as across the globe!), it could pretty much be the Halloween season all year. With all the different opportunities for a good scare, why not take the chance to enjoy them all?
Because of the wide range of attractions, there is one for almost every person. There are the places that offer haunts for the people who are simply looking for a thrill, tours for the people interested in the history behind the attractions, and all out investigations for the paranormal enthusiasts. |
Those looking for a thrill will attend pretty much any attraction they find. They usually are uninterested in the history, because they are purely there for the screams and thrills. Conversely, the people who are interested in the history behind the attractions are typically interested in the real stories. They would be interested in attractions such as Alcatraz, West Virginia State Penitentiary, Waverly Hills Sanatorium, and the houses with well-known stories. When it comes to people who seek paranormal experiences, they are looking for the real deal haunted attractions. These are the true believers who are searching for proof to back up their belief in the paranormal. They are willing to spend their money at the big deal haunts that offer after-hours paranormal hunts, such as Waverly Hills Sanatorium.
